Technician

This role is for a global company and they are growing fast so the potential growth for this role is huge. This company deals with different technology, installing communications devices and sensors. This role will suit an individual who is currently working as an engineer or studying to acquire this qualification. We are seeking someone with experience with a technology or engineering background with physical installations skill sets.

Some of the primary responsibilities are:
• Physically assist with installing products and systems on site such as wireless sensors and related RF hardware, electronic signage and ANPR\LPR cameras
• Assign unique software identifiers to sensors and related hardware
• Programming sensors with correct software settings as specified for each site
• Setting up and commissioning RF network to support reporting system
• Provide post installation maintenance and support to installed sites
• Configure and test PCs and associated software prior to installation on site
• Work with and display a good level of customer service to clients

This role is very much a 50/50 mix of Technology and physical installations skillets.

We are looking for someone who is both ambitious and disciplined, technically minded, up to speed on Wi-Fi technology, IoT, but also not afraid to climb up ladders to install communications devices or drill holes in the road\Car parks to install our Sensors, they also need to be someone with a bit of personality as they will be required to deal with not only clients but also the public when out in the field, so they need a decent dose of professional maturity. 

You will be taught everything, so you will be starting from scratch, this is a global company and growing fast so the potential for this role is huge, you will be joining a young and dynamic team which is firing on all 12 cylinders, and need to be prepared to travel throughout both NZ and Australia, for the right young person this will actually be a dream job
